Body IN Balance Healthier Living is an approved provider for the Veterans Administration ( VA ) . Veterans can utilize their benefits through Community Care to receive massage therapy services in my Rocky Hill office . My goal is to support our Veterans health and well-being with therapeutic massage therapy.
Massage therapy benefits specifically for veterans:
Reduces symptoms of PTSD – Helps calm the nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety and hypervigilance.
Alleviates chronic pain – Eases musculoskeletal pain from injuries or long-term physical strain common in military service.
Improves sleep quality – Encourages deeper, more restful sleep by reducing stress and physical discomfort.
Decreases anxiety and depression – Boosts serotonin and dopamine levels while lowering cortisol (stress hormone).
Enhances circulation – Improves blood flow, aiding recovery from injury and overall wellness.
Supports rehabilitation – Complements physical therapy and speeds healing from surgeries or combat-related injuries.
Boosts flexibility and mobility – Loosens tight muscles and joints, increasing range of motion.
Promotes emotional well-being – Provides a safe, supportive space that can foster a sense of care and connection.
Reduces headaches and migraines – Eases tension in the neck and shoulders, which often contribute to headaches.
Lowers blood pressure – Encourages relaxation and supports cardiovascular health.
Helps manage substance use recovery – Supports stress relief and body awareness during addiction recovery.
Rebuilds trust in touch – Gentle, respectful therapeutic touch can help re-establish comfort with physical contact.
If you are a veteran or know a veteran who is interested in exploring the benefits of massage therapy and want to learn more about how to access these benefits- I am here to help support you.
